“PowerYoga” is a combination of meditation, breathing and postures designed to improve strength, balance, control, co-ordination and flexibility. It’s so much more than just a physical workout – that’s why it’s so addictive!
As a qualified Sun Power, Yogic Arts, Budokon and Forrest Yoga teacher, I passionately believe that there is a style of Yoga to suit everyone. It doesn’t matter how fit, how old or how flexible you are.
The Yoga I teach is not about learning to put your feet behind your ears; it’s about learning to love and look after the body you’ve been given. It’s about knowing your limits and then daring to push them a little – it is extremely “powerful”.
Power Yoga will help you achieve the ‘body beautiful’ but it’s also about developing beautiful minds. It’s about taking a pause from the hurly-burly of modern life and becoming a little calmer, healthier and a happier person – that is where the true “power” shines through.
OK, so there is a catch. My classes are challenging but then we think that the best things in life always are! With regular practice, you will make rapid progress and I’m certain that you will soon begin to feel the benefits, both physically and mentally.
